Bryony Lowth is a versatile textile designer and artist based in London with experience across retail and hospitality, developing products and prints for brands including Soho House, Anthropologie, Tom Dixon and Marks and Spencer. Bryony specialises in hand painted prints and pattern design whilst also having a broad knowledge of the textile processes and industry.
Bryony started in mixed media textiles, creating artworks in the form of 3D sculpture and wall-hangings. In July 2011 she completed a weave short course at Winchester School of Art before joining Loughborough University for their Textiles Innovation and Design BA Hons Degree, choosing to specialise in Print. Joining the print studio Bay and Brown in Jan 2017
Bryony was concepting and designing print collections for brands and industries worldwide. She led sales trips to North and South America and travelled throughout Europe monthly visiting customers, presenting new collections and building relationships as well as her understanding of the industry with its varied customer base and the ever-changing styles.
Bryony was then invited to join Anthropologie Home and in Jan 2019 moved to their offices in Philadelphia, USA to join the Concept team, drawing and painting seasonal artworks for the home categories. Moving back to the UK at the end of her visa Bryony quickly started working for Soho Home as a freelancer before being asked to join them full time, creating the concepts and designs for all their prints, patterns and textile products as well as leading the seasonal colour

direction for all categories. Alongside this, she has designed textiles and print for new Soho House locations, designed the packaging for Cowshed's best-selling 2023 Winter Collection and occasionally artworks for the social media and marketing campaigns. Now Bryony has joined Knots Rugs as their senior designer, leading all in-house and bespoke design.

Bryony has now been working in the textiles industry, developing print and product, for over a decade. Her genuine love for pattern, colour and the craftsmanship within textile processes naturally drives her work forwards. She continues to learn and develop, seizing any opportunity to attend courses and workshops alongside her career, or to travel and learn from artisans that specialise in the techniques and materials she is designing with. Bryony has a high standard that she holds herself to, always wanting to make thoughtful design decisions and products that are well made. Her pieces are designed to be special: precious to the owner, rather than just part of a trend or moment.
